Red Naomi is an exclusive variety of rose of very intense and deep red color and has up to 80 petals on a single bud which is much more than others varieties. Roses are changing rapidly from day to day developing big and beautiful red flower. What make it special are strong smell, long stems with little spikes and lovely buds. To achieve such effect it is crucial to optimize climate conditions by providing growing media reach in minerals, proper fertilizing, frequent nursing, right temperature and enough light especially in time of autumn and winter.
Our implementation was in greenhouse in Greater Poland province. Flowers were cultivated under supplemental LED COB Strong Red lamps from November 2018 up to March 2019. Previously used HPS lamps were replaced by 300W LED COB lamps, which resulted in decreasing lighting bills by 60%. What is more, greenhouse owner is happy because of stems thicker by 80% compared to HPS and better coloration of flowers. LED COB lamps were used 18h a day and temperature was kept at 22ºC.
Plantalux Strong Red – LED COB of significantly high total red to blue ratio (87:13). What is worth mentioning is very high far red percentage that equals 20% of the entire spectrum. Such composition of wavelengths lets achieve satisfactory effects especially in terms of cultivation of vegetables, fruits and blooming flowers.
